It feels like I have been teaching my whole life! Growing up as the oldest of six children, I always was the teacher when we played school. It was only natural for me to begin teaching as an adult.

I taught music lessons and classes in my home and community. I formally taught English in public and private schools for 7 years. As a teacher, I got so much satisfaction out of helping my students learn and feel the actual benefits of what they were learning. I loved that their overall skills were improved and not just learning content for a test.

As I served in leadership in a Toastmasters, International club, I honed my skills for communication and public speaking. Now I am prepared to help you have greater confidence when speaking in front of others, whether a small gathering or a huge audience.

I am constantly engaged in learning for my personal development: reading books, watching TED talks, and listening to podcasts. I am currently enrolled in a Intentional Communication course to continue to improve my own communication skills and be able to pass that knowledge along to my students.

Now as an online language teacher, I am helping adults realize their potential and achieve their goals. I am committed to enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences. I only want to offer you what is the most helpful to get you to your goals in the fastest way possible.

I have been the customer visiting a business where I felt very out of place and awkward because no one spoke to me in English. And this wasn't in a different country where they don't have many English-speaking customers. This was in Columbus, Ohio.

I guarantee you that if someone would have at least tried a "Hello - welcome to the store" or "Can I help you find something?" or a "Thank you for coming in," I would be customer for life and tell all of my friends as well. It doesn't matter how good your food is, how amazing the products are, how awesome your service is if you cannot connect with your customers at least in a small way.

I live in Ohio in the United States. I enjoy meditation, journaling, pottery, and using my passport. I am a Broadway Musical fanatic - especially the classics. My husband and I are the parents to six mostly-grown children. Our family has a good time playing games, making music, and eating good food. Cuddling my dog, Barnaby, is one of the highlights of my day.

Little known facts about me...

I was born in Italy and love Italian food...in Italy. Here in the states you will most likely find me in a Mexican restaurant.

I love, love, love traveling. I have traveled all over the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. I have traveled to Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, England, Monaco, Portugal, South Korea, India, Mexico, Bahamas, Haiti, Jamaica, Canada, Turkey, and Greece.

One time I got stuck at the border between Mexico and the United States because of a expired ID card. They eventually let me back into the U.S.

I have a special talent of organizing documents on my computer into very specific folders.
